DIY Magnesium Sleep Spray: Relax Naturally for a Restful Night

Updated: Nov 13, 2025

Hands up if you find yourself tossing and turning at night, willing sleep but finding it impossible to quiet down your mind? Well, you’re not alone. Sleep troubles are increasingly common in our modern world with a multitude of contributing factors. From chronic stress and disrupted circadian rhythms due to blue-light exposure to overstimulation from the endless dopamine hits from our phones. It’s no wonder our nervous systems are struggling to switch off.

Homeopathy offers incredible support for restoring balance and addressing the deeper energetic causes of sleeplessness, whether it’s anxiety, overthinking, hormonal imbalance, or emotional overload. As always in homeopathy, we’re treating the individual, not just the symptom, and selecting the remedy that resonates with your unique story is key for long-lasting results. However, remedies like Avena Sativa, Coffea, Passiflora and Valarian can be particularly helpful when it comes to sleep issues, and Helios do a great little sleep combo which would be a great place to start if a full homeopathic consultation is not possible for you currently.

Alongside these remedies, another gentle and natural tool for better sleep is magnesium spray. Magnesium is one of the most underrated minerals for helping the body and mind unwind. It plays a key role in calming the nervous system, easing muscle tension, and supporting the production of melatonin, the hormone that signals your body it’s time to rest.

When used topically, magnesium spray offers a fast and effective way to nourish your body’s magnesium levels, promoting relaxation from the outside in.

Supporting your sleep naturally doesn’t have to cost the earth. You don't need a fancy brand when it comes to magnesium spray, with just a few simple ingredients, you can easily make your own at home:
